Visiting this interesting Waterfall Restaurant located in San Pablo City, Philippines at the Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort can be a truly unique and memorable experience. Visitors can enjoy in lunch served on bamboo dining tables while the crystalline running water flows under their feet.
Besides enjoying the authentic local cuisine, you can enjoy the almost untouched nature of the region formerly occupied by a farm and coconut plantations. If you need to spend calories after lunch then you have opportunity to do some sports activities like Bamboo rafts . Try your hand at paddling a native bamboo raft on lake Labasin.

Also, guests have the opportunity to watch the Philippine Experience Show where the country’s rich culture comes to life, from its ethnic diversity to its colonial legacy. The dances were painstakingly recreated by the late National Artist for Dance Ramon Obusan of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Mr. Obusan’s insistence on authenticity sets this show, performed by resort employees and accompanied by the resort’s own musicians and rondalla ensemble, makes this show a far cry from the stylized performances one sees today.

If you are admirer of bird watching this is the place for you. Bird watching at the resort is beautiful and relaxing travel adventure. Wake up to the chorus of the resident orioles, mynahs, kingfishers, doves etc. Enjoy in truly untouched nature as a variety of birds fly around the area’s lush gardens, orchards and open spaces.
With close to 600 recorded bird species, 30% (181) found only in our islands, the Philippines has the highest rate of avifauna biodiversity per square kilometer in the world.

Nice and everything but imagine yourself working there … trench feet and such
Jun 29, 2012 @ 11:24:53
You are right, it can be a big problem for people who work there
Jul 03, 2012 @ 03:06:02
Trench foot is a medical condition caused by prolonged exposure of the feet to damp, unsanitary, and cold conditions.
I don’t see that here. the water looks ok
Jul 07, 2012 @ 19:12:25
Amazing and Incredible!
“a place to forget about your self,
Jul 11, 2012 @ 07:33:37
trust me with the hot weather of our country you would like to stay all day with wet feet but the ppl who works there doesn’t stay on water all day only on lunch time.
Aug 08, 2012 @ 03:49:37
I was thinking the same thing actually. I sure hope the workers aren’t forced in the waters all day…
Jun 29, 2012 @ 12:03:29
cool place i would love to come if I can visit the Philippines LOve the food one of my favorite .I will bring my whole family.
Jul 10, 2012 @ 11:37:08
You like the food? I have lived in the Philippines for a long time and think that the food is very sub par for the region. The country itself is amazing but their culinary “tradition” leaves much to be desired in my opinion. Lenchon and water spinach adobo are good but other than that the only great food there is the fresh seafood and the fruits, neither of which are difficult to prepare or are any distinct Filipino food.
Jul 11, 2012 @ 08:20:40
I am half filippino and half italian I grew up in the Philippines and I’m living in italy for 10 yrs now and I find easier to cook italian dish than to cook my own traditional fillippino dish and I’m very good at cooking. If you only eat in the streets and not at the houses of some Filippinos your not really eating our “traditional food”. Our country is a mixture of races so are the ways the food are cooked. Philipphines been occupied by spaniards, japanes and americans, and a lot of chinese lives in my country. So the names a the way the food are cooked are mixtures of those but not all. Its like spaghetti, they say its a distinct italian dish but the spaghetti is an imitation of chinese noodles right? but spaghetti is a distinct italian dish. And of course to cook good food is to use fresh ingredients with simple dishes right?
Jun 29, 2012 @ 13:13:21
Almost untouched? You do realize that the waterfall is man made? Probably a dam made for irrigation prior to or after WWII.
Jun 29, 2012 @ 16:20:45
Didn’t know that fact. Thanks for your comment. I must say that there are also lake Labasin and natural habitat for many species of birds etc…It’s not all about waterfall
Jun 30, 2012 @ 09:13:20
Actually it’s the electric generator of the plantation before. Learned this when we visited, I think a worker there explained it to us.

It’s pretty cool… but “almost untouched?” That waterfall is a man-made concrete dam.
Feb 24, 2013 @ 09:25:58
Yes Chunky! You took the words right out of my mouth, title I think is a little misleading…
Still though, I’m hitting up Asia soon so will probably go check it out when in the area, see if you do get trench-foot after a while…
Peace out ya’all!

There is nothing about this restaurant that remotely resembles “untouched nature.”
Oct 16, 2012 @ 09:46:40

Jul 01, 2012 @ 21:42:35
Makes me want to visit. How unique!
Jul 02, 2012 @ 00:14:40
how is it “almost untouched” when its got a bunch of fat lazy tourists laying in it daily? lmao
Jul 02, 2012 @ 05:29:15
Indeed, it’s more fun in the Philippines. I haven’t been there but definitely I want to experience that.

this place is beautiful. there is also a place called 100 falls. i went to high school in the philippines in 1970′s. when you get to the top you go out on a raft pulled by a tether that takes you behind a waterfall into a cave and you can dive and swim in there — it’s definitely a bucket list adventure!
Jul 02, 2012 @ 23:37:52
Sounds interesting, I will google it
Thank you

Jul 05, 2012 @ 14:25:49
Anything is possible, but I don’t want to imagine that, since it could be a problem
therefore do not carry the cell phone on holiday in a restaurant with a waterfall.
Jul 05, 2012 @ 14:09:55
