The latest release from the house of Hyundai in the Indian market would be Hyundai i40. The company is going to launch this car in a sedan version in India. This sedan car has already made its mark in the European market and has earned acclamation from the buyers. Being designed for the European market, Hyundai i40 possesses great exterior as well as interior looks. This sedan car has been voted as one of the top-rated cars in this segment in the European market. The only disadvantage for the i40 against the Civic can be its pricing which is little higher than the Honda car.

Apart from the Honda Civic, the upcoming Hyundai i40 in India is likely to compete against Skoda Laura. On comparing these two cars, Hyundai i40 scores more than Laura. The fluid design of Hyundai i40 overshadows the basic sedan designing of Laura. In terms of engine configuration, Skoda Laura lags behind i40. The Skoda car produces a maximum displacement of 1968cc, whereas Hyundai i40 produces a maximum displacement of 1991cc.

Toyota Corolla is another competition that Hyundai i40 will be facing in the Indian market. The luxury sedan car, Toyota Corolla, has done a great business in the Indian market since its launch. If compared with Toyota Corolla, Hyundai i40 is expected to score better in terms of both engine performance and looks. As Toyota Corolla has rear brake problem and hand brakes also make a typical sound on being released, Hyundai i40 will definitely be a better choice for the buyers.

For capturing the market, Hyundai is planning to structure the price of this new car in such a way that the car becomes popular among buyers as a value for money. As per the sources, Hyundai i40 price in India will be between Rs.16 lacs to Rs. 20 lacs. With this price range and features, Hyundai i40 is surely going to give a tough competition to other cars in the segment.
